1.       Sejarah Konflik Pada tanggal 19 Januari, 1999, Ambon dan  pulau-pulau di sekitarnya dilanda perang saudara. Walaupun Ambon di kenal sebagai daerah orang Kristen  di Indonesia, warga Islam di Ambon juga pada awalnya menikmati hidup yang rukun dan  harmonis bersama warga Kristen. PENDAHULUAN Pada saat perang dingin berakhir dunia bertanya-tanya,teori realis yang pada saat itu menjadi teori yang banyak digunakan oleh banyak pelaku politik dan menjadi patokan,secara tidak langsung gugur. Perang dingin berakhir begitu saja dengan runtuhnya Uni Soviet tanpa adanya serangan dari pihak lawannya (Amerika serikat ). Teori realis yang meyatakan bahwa perang antara dua kubu tersebut hanya akan berhenti pada saat salah satu dari kubu tersebut hancur karena penyerangan dari salah satu kubu lainnya tidak dapat dihentikan. Bahkan walaupun sampai saat ini pecahan dari Uni Soviet (Rusia) dan USA merasa masih menjadi musuh tetapi perang tidak pernah tejadi lagi.
